A couple of bees stopped by for breakfast this morning, on one of our sunflowers… Been a great summer in our yard, for the insects… The good ones, anyway…

Monster flowers
Our squirrels, chipmunks and assorted finches, have managed to plant the tallest sunflowers we have ever had. These are all ‘volunteers’ that we had nothing to do with. They are as tall or taller than the side of our little cottage.
Finches have started to devour the seeds.
