Memphis Uke&Roll
Hey kids… So, we went to Memphis last weekend, to a ukulele festival. Been looking forward to this for two years… We shall not speak of pandemics… Our friends Mike and Ann picked us up, and off we went down the road.
Arrived in the early afternoon, and from that point on, it was go, see, do, listen, share. We went to a meet/greet bbq dinner Thursday evening… Good fun!
We got to play a tune, at the open mic, after dinner….
Friday, we wandered the downtown/Beale St area… What musical history…
Got to hang w/ several of our friends, in real life (IRL) for the 1st time in forever, and, in some cases, for the first time
This is just a part of what we saw, heard, and experienced… A great time…

We Can Almost Hear the Dr DeMento Show…
Hey kids. Been awhile. Outside of the holidays, and some jamming, not a lot going on. Not a bad thing. One thing going on recently, was this collaboration… Our amazing friend, Elizabeth Safely Brinker wrote, sang, and played uke on this. The smooth Martin Hoffman was killer on the Ubass. And, the one, the only Michael August added great harp. I did the rhythm guitar, to finish it up… Hope you like it… Cuz, it’s soooo good…
The Great Facebook Fiasco
HI there, everyone…. So, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp all bit the dust for several hours, yesterday-Monday… IMO, they did us a favor, to wean us off, and, to show that we can live without them, and, that there are other alternatives to the Zuckerberg circus… I admit, I did miss Instagram a little, but other than that…. Meh…. Our lives went on. Yard work, errands, music, and projects… My lovely wife baked 2 apple pies, and a crisp, with apples we picked. Oh, even got our flu shots. So, did I miss some of our friends adventures? Yes. But, did not miss the sh1t show that can be Facebook…
